Flood in D400

And we thought there wouldn't be flood on 4th floor of a hostel build on a hill, it happened. Tuesday morning, called it mid night, just after my band practises around 2:30am, went back to room to discover the highest floor of the hostel is actually flooded.

There you see Jackson the floor rep trying to clear out the water for the moment, since the flood is coming our way to his room, we had to do something, delaying the water from coming in, while some rooms as you see are already flooded.


The other side of the walk way, also the source of the rainfall, precipitation. The buckets serve as detention purpose to store water from the ceiling.


A more clear view of what happen to the ceiling, water marks all over, and a crack in the middle. Thanks to the forever unfinished repairs to the ceiling for the whole past semester till now, which is yet to be completed. The leakage must have come from the pipes which is not properly installed.


"Stay away from my room!!" Jackson clearing the flood, to the other end of the walk way. From the waves formed, you could imagine how deep the water level is. And imagine those few pity rooms near the area, they could have wake up to found they're in the middle of an ocean haha.


Redirecting the flow to the stairs, discharging the flood, hard work man!! Give some respect to the man!! However, the hard work didn't yield much results, and its hard for a man show to clear up the flood, we stopped, let it be, head to bed. Of course after we brought some news paper and setup news paper barriers front our door.


The water being discharge to the stairs goes down and make a gorgeous miniature waterfall.



The water was falling all the way from 4th floor to the ground floor making some enormous noise, yet the official living just down stairs has not even bothered to have a look. Wonder if they even knew bout the flood.
