Was glad i made it to join YLS tis yr for the 4th Inter-Varsity Song Composing competition which is held in MMU CyberJaya this year. Felt closer with YLS frens and had some real fun time. Went thru some arguments, misunderstandings and blames, reli hope by going thru tis activity, it wud make a stronger bond between us and bridge the gap between us,

Was very glad tat david cud join us, helping us on the guitar parts. Things went pretty smooth, as david is so gud, we progress rapidly. So must thank him lots lots for his contribution in making tis event more fun and complete.


MiZhen on his knees for Stephen?

Among the juniors in YLS, LeyYee has impressed me alot more than i cud have imagine. Being the ex-president for YLS, he has been blamed on lots of matters, looked down by others, and being humiliated at times. But yet he stand still, and grew to a very mature guy, contributing without any blame. He is a very nice guy.


WeiYun, JiaJie, KweeChin

Xiang C, being the most talented junior has shine in this event. Doing arrangement for the 3 songs from UM which have enter the finals. The experience he gain from production house during the past year, and from the David's band JUNK, has greatly influence his composition and arrangement. He too has morphed into a higher level from the others. Xiang Xi is the man!


WeiYun, JiaJie, KweeChin, YuHang

For the song, NiZouLe 你走了, leyyee and xiang xi manage to gather a string quartet consist of current UM Chinese Orchestra leader WeiYun, 老鸟JiaJie, Multi-talented KweeChin and Perfect Pitch YuHang. The wonderful string arrangement won XiangXi the Best Arranger Award in this competition. The great performance by the team has lead it to the 1st-runner-up for the competition. David and XiangC both on acoustics. WenJun and ZhiQin on backup vocals.

The other 2songs 我有我自由 & LoveGoesAround consist of the same Musicians, XiangC (keyboard) David (Guitar) Chris (Bass) Guorong (drums). Although we dint get any prize for this 2 songs but we certainly had fun on 我有我自由 and alot of headaches for stop-time in LoveGoesAround.

Feel glad to be able to work along with xiangc for the 1st time. He hold his principle pretty strict and stand stil to his decision. So i wil b expecting more to go on with him around this yr as the senior band member in YLS both in the upcoming XiaoChuang校创 and Dayao大摇.
