Me Haoto Raven, b4 the show

this is the 3rd time i join tis event. It means alot to me, as i spend my uni rock life on tis stage since the beginnin of tis event. Its the stage wher i play music with my fellow frens. During the 1st YFX which was 2 yrs ago, there was Me, Foo, Weng, Alvin, Loong and Lau. Later, Loong left for his career. Then Alvin oso depart for his career, leavin me, Foo and Weng. though Loon and Billy came in, i stil mis the old days, when we're so Unorganised and that just-wana-hav-fun-attitude.

The most beautiful thing with NewEra college was the crowd, they're very active and sporting. We had fun since the 1st time it was held and fell in love with the crowd response. And the gud part is, the chance to see bands from other uni's performing, and to know them. UKM was use to be the coolest rocking uni las time.

This round of the event, i called the organisers if I could bring my band in for the show. I waited for 2days, and they say YES!! I was very happy, but oso worried of our performance. If u seen us perform, u wud know wat i mean exactli.

with ToneZone band, i was relieve the songs were easy, and we practise oni a few times, and although it weren't the best we cud giv, it was gud enuf to pawn the undergraduates. EternalBand however, despite the difference in language, Haoto manage to pull the crowd together with her on-stage presence. Gals Rulz!!

Stage was gettin hot, after Eternal's Show. Followed by Foo's band, things get cranked up. Then, came Manhand featuring DayDream!! how come an established grown up band is here!!! but hey, they had extremeli gud crowd response, wen i say "Man" u say "Hand" !!!

The 1st time, Foo brought his silver RedShadow Amp. The stage has another 2 Marshall MG100 and the behringer250watt 2x10 bassamp. The 2nd yr, Foo bought AVT, he was all excited with it. The 3rd yr, what amps we had on stage??? Randall KirkHammettSignature head + Marshall 4x12cab , Marshall AVT100, Kustom 4x12 and yes...the same old Behringer 2x10, strong and standing.

Although the amps are gud, the sound man for this year, just wasnt gud enuf. Despite having a full set of Clip-on-mic onto the drumset, 2 condenser over head, The PA mixing and balancing for each instrument was very bad. All the wireless mic broke down during Manhand's 1st song, it was damn awkward. The bass amp DI to amp cable was dead, so many performers before actuali perform without hearing themselves.

as u see we went cam-whoring-frenzy straight after show, i was happy i brought my own camera, it was sad tat i dint for the 校创 event in my uni las week....grr.... Anyway, it feels like the last time i wud b able to perform ther, although i do hope we cud perform again in NewEra College, i dun tink we wud b able to then. Nex yr, Weng also graduate, Foo so bz with his career. Aih....
