Fretless growl is awesome...meranti tone
KC sms me on friday nite, i was tired and completely forget bout her. she sms me the other day during the empty slot wen her student ponteng. called her back, and get to know bout tis show, FREE entrance, big band. The double bass and fretless custom made bass from GIT, malaysia caught my attention. Double bass ws made from malaysian ash. the fretless was with a famour Malysian wood, "Meranti". i do wonder how Cengal wud sound.
Awesome vocalist Ray
Among the few vocalist, Ray was the best! others were just average. The show came with lotsa dancings. Stage was awesome, with great lightings. Nasir, from music fac UM was the conductor. Along the electric band, u wud oways see in UM. Um's orchestra team along with RTM's symphony. Featuring Nasir's frens; composer from RTM, and his sifu who plays bass!!

Overall was above average, Solo's did nt stand out during the show. but every 1 ws doin fine, crowd interaction was gud too. however i was expecting more solo's. Well, its nice to watch free shows haha. It'll be happenin on tis sunday 12july2009 too. do go for it, it in Universiti Malaya, Dewan Tunku Canselor. from 8.30pm :)
